Bastuck F20 M135i Exhaust

 

One of our suppliers Bastuck has just released a new turbo-back exhaust system for the F20 M135i. Not only does this sporty new 1er boast a powerful 3-litre turbo engine but now it has an exhaust to compliment its power.

 

Bastuck claim an 8.5kw/11nm jump with this upgraded system, with options such as Cat Delete, Sports Cat replacement, resonated and non-resonated solutions. [dyno graph]

Kleeman C63 Supercharger upgrade

 

 

M156/M159 V8 AMG Supercharger kit
New for 2013 is the introduction of 2 revolutionary all-new supercharger systems designed specially for the normally aspirated M156 6.2 liter V8 engine in the early Mercedes-Benz 63 AMG cars and also for the M159 6.2 liter V8 engine in the SLS AMG.
Machined from billet aluminum, each part from the smallest pulley to the largest plenum chamber is master-crafted on state of the art CNC machines to ensure the highest quality, fitment and finish, second to none. Keeping with motorsport tradition, all joining parts of the inlet system, manifold and intercooler employ captive O-rings rather than gaskets and sealants for consistent sealing and maximum reliability. Every finished unit is hand-inspected, pressure tested (both the manifold and the intercooler) and scrutinized for quality before it’s allowed to leave the production line for final packaging. 

Kleeman have chosen the Magnuson TVS2300 positive displacement supercharger for numerous reasons. Magnuson is an OEM supplier to many automotive manufacturers which means all of their superchargers are held to very high quality standards and endure thousands of hours of bench and real world testing prior to product release. Unlike screw-type superchargers, which compress air internally, leading to an increase in both discharge temperatures and parasitic drive loss, the TVS2300 maintains consistently low discharge temperatures and drive losses across it’s entire operating range. Magnuson superchargers are internally oiled using synthetic lubricants designed for long service life. Kleeman supercharger kits for the M156 and M156 Mercedes-Benz AMG engines employs a large internal supercharger bypass valve to reduce parasitic drive load, keep throttle inlet temperatures low and increase fuel efficiency.
Kleemann pioneered the integration of intercooler cores within the intake manifold in our M112 and M113 supercharger kits and they have continued this superior design tradition with our M156 and M159 supercharger system. The bar and plate style intercooler core is integrated into the intake plenum chamber and an electronic water pump circulates the coolant through an independent radiator mounted behind the lower front grille and an overflow reservoir is installed to both increase intercooler capacity and simplify the bleeding procedure. These design features ensure consistently low intake temperatures and the intercooler system has been tested to maintain extremely efficient operation over 800 HP.  

Kleeman have designed a unique drive system designed for the utmost reliability. Included with our supercharger system is a dual-plane crankshaft pulley which is CNC machined from billet aircraft quality aluminum. All engine accessories maintain their single, 6-rib drive belt and factory rotational speeds while the supercharger gets it’s own, independent 8-rib drive plane for maximum reliability and power transmission. This drive system integrates it’s own idler pulleys and a zero maintenance dynamic belt tensioner.
The key to efficient and reliable operation lies in advanced engine management control, and our M156/M159 supercharger system integrates the factory ME9.7 engine management system using extensively developed and tested proprietary software.  Each individual cylinder is mapped for optimal ignition timing and fuel delivery. Low boost pressure together with precisely mapped ignition timing ensures low engine temperatures, high efficiency and a high level of reliability. The factory drive by wire system is mapped to ensure factory drivability, smoothness and a broad, flat torque curve. Through advanced software mapping, Kleemann has the ability to fully integrate all of the factory driveline protection features, such as torque management for gearbox/driveline reliability, detonation protection using the factory knock sensor system and safeguards against excessive inlet temperatures.  Their expert knowledge of engine management software ensures safe, smooth and reliable operation across all engine speeds and ambient conditions.  
The supercharger develops 0.4 bar in boost pressure, resulting in a power increase from 155-255 hp and 220-310 nm depending on the engine type and additional tuning components like exhaust headers, flow optimized cylinder heads etc.

 

The Kleemann supercharger system for AMG 63 cars and the SLS AMG has been tested and verified safe with all AMG variants of the 7G-Tronic 7-speed automatic transmission, including the MCT 7G.

Evolve Technik updates

 

So it has been a busy start to the year, with the introduction of new dealers and the beginning and end to some major projects. With rapid growth we have been struggling to keep you all updated so here is a brief summary.
In the last few months we have introduced 3 new dealers to the Evolve Technik Network, which now covers VIC, NSW, ACT, QLD and SA.

Evolve Technik is pleased to announce that we have appointed Eastside Automotive as our South Australian dealer for all Evolve Technik tuning upgrades. In keeping with our policy of appointing dealers with strong technical skills & facilities and after interviewing a number of Adelaide interested workshops, we have chosen to team up with Andy Sutton at Eastside Automotive.

With over 30 years’ experience,  Eastside Automotive is your one stop shop for getting your car up to its peak performance, economy and reliability.
“After initial discussions with Andy, I could see that he is passionate about cars and performance. His business ticked enough boxes for us to make the decision to appoint them as our SA dealer, and we look forward to growing our respective business’s together. Eastside have the right technical personnel & equipment, experience, as well as a dyno and panel shop on their premises. Evolve Technik annouces new Queensland Dealer

 

Evolve Technik announced on the 13th September 2011 that it has appointed a new Brisbane dealer to replace M-Line Technik who has done a great job over the past 12 months.

Peter Fitzgerald, managing director of Evolve Technik said today "The change to Custom Exhaust Specialists in Meadowbrook was a better fit for our business going forward as we are not restrained by the political system surrounding a dealer involvement, which does affect promotional activities and growing the business. M-Line did a great job in the last 12 months for us, but they decided that they wanted to concentrate on their core business and we also discovered that the restrictions of working with a dealership were holding back our growth in Brisbane. Custom Exhaust Specialists owned by Trevor & Leslie Campbell are family know business who have been in the performance exhaust fabrication for over 15 years and they have earnt a enviable reputation as a high performance exhaust specialists amongst the who's who of Motorsport. I know of prominent racers from Melbourne who send their cars up to Trevor to get him to build their exhausts. So when I heard of this I chased them up to see if they would like to represent us in Brisbane, as I thought there would be good synergies between both companies going forward. CES will still be offering the same range of exhaust suppliers as currently available from Evolve Technik such as Innotech, Milltek, Bastuck, Dinan etc but we are planning on developing our own range of systems that are not currently available for many cars through the above." Peter said.

not for the faint hearted with an impressive 75kw / 180Nm increase.
This tune is on the steaper scale of our pricing lists as we are required to completely replace

the Vehicles ECU (Brain) and CAS Computer to achieve such great results. This process

takes roughly 1 month to complete from date of deposit.

Evolve Unleashed in Queensland

 

Evolve Technik is proud to announce that it has opened its most recent dealership in Queensland.

M-Line Technik is located conveniently between Brisbane and the Gold Coast in Daisy Hill just off the Pacific Motorway. This now means that Evolve Technik offers complete coverage of the Australian eastern coast line! Ex-McLaren technician, Scott Robinson will head up the QLD technical team for M-Line Technik and we have great expectations for them and our patient customers who have been waiting for us to set up in the Sunshine state.

Evolve Technik take G-power onboard

 

evolve technik has announced that it has recently signed on as a dealer for G-Power, Germany. G-Power are BMW performance specialists and are particularly well known for their supercharger kits. “We have just finished our second G-Power E92 M3 stage 2 supercharger upgrade with awesome results” said evolve technik managing director Peter Fitzgerald “ The first car was finished in early January 2010 and develops close to 600hp with our exhaust system.” Expect to see a story on the evolve technik G-Powered M3 soon in “Motor” magazine.

New Sydney dealer – City Performance Centre

Launched over three days (10-12 December), there was an incredible turn-out of support and partici-pation at the event. High performance driver training at Winton Raceway

evolve technik and Fitzgerald Racing Services customers were invited to attend two high performance driving courses at Winton raceway on 3 and 24 March 2009. Additional courses are being scheduled for May 19, 25 and 26 2009 for those unable to attend the March courses.

Improved performance for all MED17 VAG models.

evolve technik has released software for new VAG model vehicles equipped with MED17, such as AudiQ5 2.0 TSI,, VW Golf TSI 6 1.4, 2.0 TSI, VW Tiguan TSI. The performance gains start at 26+ kw and 60NM on the small 1.4 TSI's and finish at 34+ kw / 85NM with the 2.0 TSI's.
