1. Is ECU-tuning also possible for older vehicles?
Yes, if the vehicle has an engine control unit, usually referred to as the vehicle's ECU.

2. Are there problems with emissions and noise level compliances?
No, after car tuning the engine operates within normal exhaust levels and within the prescribed tolerance levels.

3. Why aren't the same vehicles from vehicle manufacturers equipped with maximum engine power?
Economy, classes of insurance, fuel quality and different climatic conditions are just a few considerations that designers and engineers must consider when manufacturing vehicles. In contrast, an ECU software modification is an individual adaption to your mechanical conditions operating under all existing tolerances specified by the manufacturer.

4. Does fuel consumption increase?
High-load acceleration will result in higher fuel consumption. Driving in the part-load range decreases consumption considerably. Eco-tuning can result in up to 15% less fuel consumption.

5. What kind of fuel should be used for ECU-tuned vehicles?
You can continue to use fuel specified by the manufacturer, however, to achieve better performance and economy, 98 RON is recommended. For diesel vehicles this is not a consideration.

6. Is ECU-tuning harmful for the engine?
Today's engines have electronic knock control systems, even after the installation of ECU software this remains fully functional. In cases of critical and extreme conditions the engine will immediately switch to "emergency" mode, so that no damage can arise.
